- Event Summary -

Xatrian Crux is a LARP "Live Action Role Playing" and Alternate Reality Gaming event, which combines live action roleplay, live-combat possibilities, and real life / real time activities.
Whether the attendee is playing in the game or not, they get to interact with or be entertained by those who are. Game Players are those who have created a character or who have brought in a pre-established character from another LARP, using the Game Rules, to play in the optional game aspect of this event. A regular, non-playing attendee may become a Player at any time simply by interacting with and effecting the game play around them respectfully - otherwise, to the active Game Players, the non-playing attendee just appears as background.

Attendees do not have to be experienced roleplayers to enjoy this event, and may attend simply to enjoy the atmosphere; storylines, dancefloor, socializing, etc.

All attendees (roleplaying or not) must adhere to the Rules of Conduct.

Game View: Xatrian Crux is the name of the bioship which hosts the event named after itself (See- Background Story). Many have arrived here via invitation pods sent from the owner of Xatrian Crux. Those native to Earth have simply been allowed entry upon purchasing their attendee badges.
XC brings everyone together in a 'LARP cross-over', within a pocket dimension where the rules are familiar enough to allow for the ease of interaction among the attendees. It also allows for the characters, once returned to their own worlds, to retain elements of their experience gained from this event, and apply them to their character (with all participating LARPs).

- Registration Info -

All Attendees must Register with Wyrd Con either via on-line Pre-Registration or at the door. No attendee is permitted entrance into XC without their Wyrd Con badge.

- Rules of Conduct -

Weapons:: No live steel or real guns! (Please abide by Wyrd Con's Rules). It is forbidden to use any projectile weaponry or objects (real or fake) such as arrows, javelins, spell packets, coins, Nerf gun ammo, etc. within the XC Dance Club at Wyrd Con. (As we are guests at the Hilton Hotel and working with Wyrd Con this time, we have a separate room dedicated to LARP Combat where LARP weapons of all kinds are permitted upon inspection and approval by Staff.)

Costume Requirements:: Costume is Mandatory! (Okay, well, it's highly encouraged!) Note - At Wyrd Con, we will be expecting a couple people to show up in their bathrobes, which is okay, being that we're at a hotel and doing this special event for many who might not have the time to prepare a costume.

Roleplayers: If you are completely nuts about getting your character into our storyline (aka you want up your chances of getting some spotlight), you have an opportunity to submit your character details (and please read the Game Mechanics/Rules). Character details include: Name, Age, Sex, Race, World, History, Interests, Personality, Quirks, Abilities, Disabilities, etc and SUBMIT CHARACTER INFO to xatrian@yahoo.com before April 4th - You should then show up to the XC event on time, wearing a costume appropriate to your character. As this is a highly freestyle RP event, just go with the flow, as they say. Above all, have fun!

Doppleganger Note:: Be aware of the downsides to appearing so obviously familiar to the crowd (such as with appearing as Yoda, Frodo, Batman, etc). If we see duplicates/dopplegangers running around, our reasoning - "They are from alternate dimensions." Enjoy!

RATING - This event is rated approximately PG-13, as it will contain some violence, mature situations, startling visuals, aggressive behavior, sexual situations and so forth, just as most classic adventure and comedy movies do. However, these are all In-Character elements which harm noone in real life and only add to the drama and excitement of the event.

BEHAVIOR BASICS - This is a 'family and general-public' oriented event, and as such we do not allow the following....nudity (this specifically means showing nothing publically illegal), no spitting, wrestling, cheating, tripping, or shoving anyone, and there is no grabbing or touching anyone without obtaining their prior permission.
With regards to interactive physical actions, you may do so while In-Character and when it pertains to the Game, though only within the Game Mechanics' rules regarding 'physical role-play or phys-reps' (these can be items or communications which represent an action - such as pretending to spit, or voicing your character's spitting action to another. not actually spitting on the player - OR - when helping up an active game player character, you would ask "Can I touch you to pick you up?" if you want to assist them physically, and if they say yes, then you may touch them, if they say no, then you must verbalize that your "character is assisting them up"). There must be concentual participation on some level with any action that involves another directly.
Note: There is no melee or projectile fighting in the following locations: dance floor, bar area, display and vendor booths/caves, on stage, entrance and exit planks) for the safety of the participants. Combat is to be contained in the Battle Arena / Fighters Circle.

Xatrian Crux offers a variety of performances, vendors, Tournaments, VIP perks, games, Krim's In-Game Bar, In-Character DJ, and more. Wyrd Con will provide various elements of XC in a style complimentary to its environment and hotel requirements. Please be courteous to other convention attendees and hotel registrants who are not participating in the convention.
